There comes a time when a little food cart needs to grow up and get a “real” business…or at least that’s what they tell us.
We wonder–why not both? KOi Fusion has been defying odds since its inception in 2009, and now we are doing it again. Presenting our very first ever brick & mortar location, koi-ly nicknamed KOi DStreet for its location in the D-Street building on SE Division at 30th.
This location boasts indoor, climate-controlled seating for 35, 2+ taps of amazing, cold beer (Hop Valley Brewing & Base Camp Brewing), our deep-fried wonders like the K-Dog & Sweet Potato Fries, and much more! You will also notice upon your first visit that KOi’s kind of gone to space–look for some new branding with wall murals and table tops by local designer Gage Hamilton. We went back to the basics with classy black and white with accents of light grained wood. This location of KOi will be introducing some new, never-before-seen menu items at our new location too!

Many people have asked us since sporting the above shirts at Eat Mobile 2014–what is a D-Street Native? What many of our long-time K’Heads know is that we were one of the original food carts on Division at 30th. After the beginnings of construction, all of the carts had to relocate, and once construction went to its finishing phase, the developers invited us to be one of the first businesses back in the area. It’s because of this that we’ve coined the term DStreet Native, one that originated from the same spot on Division.
We owe a huge thanks to all the people who helped us get to where we are today. KOi has grown so much and we aren’t stopping yet! We still have our killer carts (have you been to our newest spot on SE Oak next to Base Camp Brewing?) Look for more news as the year moves forward!
