KOi Fusion
Korean Oregon Infusion BBQ
An innovative and funky fusion of Mexican and Korean street snacks — served up with a twist. Most dishes come with all the fixings (shredded cabbage, chopped scallions, bean sprouts, onion cilantro, daikon radish sprouts and our Korean salsa) unless otherwise noted or requested.
- TACOS AND BURRITOS -
Tacos served in Mama Rosie’s fresh, homemade corn tortillas and Burritos served up in her tender flour tortillas
Korean Short Ribs (our specialty!) $3 Taco, $7 Burrito
Fall-off-the-bone tender short rib meat, marinated in Mama Kwon’s secret sauce, grilled to perfection, then de-boned and shredded to make for one tasty taco filling. This meat melts in your mouth.
Bulgogi BBQ Beef $2 Taco, $6 Burrito
Thinly sliced Korean steak marinated with Mama Kwon’s touch and flame-grilled thereafter. Hot, sweet and savory, this awesome BBQ speaks out loud and proud when it comes to garlic, onions and soy sauce.
Spicy Chicken $2 Taco, $6 Burrito
Thinly sliced chicken is marinated in Mama Kwon’s spicy garlic and onion sauce, then grilled. When it comes to flavor, it is anything BUT boring.
Spicy Pork $2 Taco, $6 Burrito
Thinly sliced pork marinated in our signature spicy and sweet sauce. This one packs a kick, so be ready for it.
Spicy Tofu (vegan) $2 Taco, $6 Burrito
We offer tofu as an alternative to those who don’t want meat. The tofu is marinated in Mama Kwon’s sweet soy sauce, fried and topped with all the fixings. Heck, these are so good you should try one even if you’re a strict carnivore. Spicy tofu available on request.
-SPECIALS-
Not available every single day, we call them specials for a reason. See the daily updates on our website’s home page, or follow us daily on Twitter (@KOifusionpdx) to see what’s cooking.
Seoul Sliders $6 for 3 sliders
Bulgogi BBQ beef, shredded nappa cabbage, griddled onions, crisp bean sprouts and spicy mayo. You can’t get anything this good at your local fast food drive thru.
Kimchee Quesadilla $6
If you haven’t tried Kimchee, this is the way to do it! We layer homemade Kimchee (or Korean coleslaw – see the description below) with delicious tangy cheese and grill it to perfection between two of Mama Rosie’s tender flour tortillas. You’ll want to tell all your friends about this delicious find.
-SIDES and OTHER STUFF-
Spicy Fries (vegan)
My Frenchy cousin Pierre Kwon feels nothing but l’amour for these spicy sticks of fried vegetable starch. Crispy potato fries in Korean chili flakes, sprinkled with sea salt and served with a side of spicy mayo. Fantastique!
Edamame (vegan)
Asian popcorn. It may be without the pop or the corn, but we think it’s twice as tasty. Plump green soybeans are steamed in their cute little pods and lightly salted.
Kimchi (vegan-friendly)
You can call it Korean sauerkraut, but there’s nothing else like it. Our standard kimchi is freshly made with Nappa cabbage from a secret family recipe. That means that it’s made without MSG and is especially made 100% vegan. Chock full of chilis, garlic, ginger and onions, this is one spicy, tangy and tasty treat. Fun fact: one serving of kimchi contains over 80% of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin C and carotene!*
We will also make other varieties on occasion such as a white radish “water” kimchi known as dongchimi. It’s crisp and refreshing and goes great with our fried chicken.
The oi sobehgi, or stuffed cucumber kimchi, is our spicy, garlicky version of the dill pickle.
Like all fermented foods, great kimchi can be pungent stuff — so we are currently in the midst of working on offering both a mild (young) and a powerful (super fermented) versions.
