They’re down with KOi!!!

Last weekend we cruised out to Pacific City as part of the 2nd Annual Joy Ride for the Children’s Cancer Association! They raised $25,000 in support of the Caring Cabin at Pacific City, where seriously ill kids and their family can escape to get away from all the craziness. Here’s us servin’ up our k’rittos to over 160 Harley riders and enthusiasts! Thanks Mike and Cheryl of Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard for having us out again for the 2nd time. It was a perfect day to ride and fundraise!!! Learn more about JoyRide here.

Here we are at Adidas HQ in Portland serving over 300 meals to hungry employees!

Yes … we said SPIT’D. Because we can say whatever we want … we have a poem written about us! Thanks for all the love k’headz, and all the special ways you show it. It’s just our style. So we received a tweet the other day from Gastropoetics that we were the subject of his/her latest poetry grind. So turn your lights down low, open your mind … and check this out!

In a wind of one ways
and bike lanes.
Highways
and driveways.
KOi slips by unseen.
As the day shifts and the crowds change.
This chameleon of the food truck world
sends its social signal.

By day the crowded pace of lunch on the go.
Catered sites,
Thirty minute hunger fights.
They come in short, sudden bursts.
With a drive that only a midday empty stomach sees.

Night brings a different shade of this complex feast.
With a late draw
And bars not far.
It greets a different need.
Emerging from hidden corners,
Breaking from purposed paths.
These treats are more than drunk eats.

But what binds this great feasting,
can’t be heard by the ears
but by the loudest silent call the world has ever seen.

Construction Zone!

Yep … that’s Chef Bo in a hard hat!

Hard hats and highlighter safety vests may very well be our new work uniforms as one of our new lunch spots is pretty much on top of it when it comes to safety! Andersen Construction company reached out to us to cater lunch to the hundreds (and still growing) of workers on-site at their current project for Kaiser Permanente in Tanasbourne/Hillsboro! We got a tour this past week and wow, the job site is massive! We’ll be rollin’ through here a few mornings throughout the week.

We hear Intel is nearby … can we pay you a visit while we’re out there?!!

Good morning k-taco family.

Two orders of business today:

1. First, let’s start our day off right with some Parliament Funkadelic, shall we? We may or may not be bumping the funk all day today in the truck (probably).

2. Yes, it’s true. The black and white stickers are finally in! We have only produced a limited number of these bad boys, so while they last, we’re going to give them away with every order.
