KOi Fusion PDX

If you’ve ever eaten at a food cart and thought to yourself, “I could eat like this everyday,” you are probably not alone. But how many people actually make a point to frequent food carts, usually the same select few, every single day?

Answer- Scott, the bicycle-riding unofficial food cart king of Portland!

Scott not only eats at many food carts every day, he also makes a point to stop by his favorite carts and pods just to say hello and gush to unsuspecting bystanders about the meal they have just ordered. Scott will even tell you which cart you should go to next, based on your meal. If you’re lucky enough to be standing in line with Scott, you can count on learning a boat load of information about the history of Portland’s food carts without ever having to go online or crack open a book.

So when Scott came up to KOi Fusion on 20th&Burnside last week and mentioned his upcoming birthday, it was only logical that we would throw him a surprise birthday party.

From Left to Right: Scott (Birthday Boy), Bo (KOi Fusion), Greg (Whiffie's), and Kevin (Garden State)

Five of Scott’s favorite food carts chipped in to provide Scott with exclusive vouchers that can only be redeemed by him for his favorite items at each spot. Whiffie’s, Garden State, Sushi Tree, Potato Champion, and of course KOi Fusion!

Scott's Birthday Cake from KOi

KOi’s own Bo Kwon was even generous enough to supply not only a personalized voucher, but a personalized cake with Scott’s unofficial title of “Food Cart King” on a food cart being pulled by a bicycle.

We love all of our dedicated fans like Scott. We wouldn’t be what we are today without you!Thank you!
